Kids Cancer Foundation Wraps Up Unforgettable Summer Camp Season
The Kids Cancer Foundation is celebrating the success of its six-week summer camp, which welcomed children impacted by pediatric cancer for a summer filled with friendship, creativity, learning and fun at the Kids Cancer Center in Royal Palm Beach.
The camp was held over two three-week sessions in June and July, serving up to 60 campers each day. Designed specifically for pediatric cancer patients and their siblings, the camp provided a safe, supportive environment where children can simply enjoy being kids while building lasting memories with friends who understand their journey.
Each week featured a unique theme, bringing new adventures and exciting activities that kept campers engaged throughout the summer. In addition to breakfast and lunch being provided daily, campers enjoyed arts and crafts, games, team-building activities, special events and hands-on experiences led by community presenters.
Throughout the six weeks, local businesses, organizations and volunteers generously shared their time and talents by introducing campers to new hobbies, skills and experiences through interactive presentations and activities. Their involvement helped create meaningful moments that inspired curiosity, confidence and joy.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s summer camp such a special experience for our families,” said Michelle O’Boyle, founder and executive director of the Kids Cancer Foundation. “From our dedicated volunteers and generous donors to our amazing community presenters, each person played an important role in creating a summer filled with smiles, laughter and hope for children who deserve the chance to simply be kids.”
The Kids Cancer Foundation extends its heartfelt appreciation to the many donors whose generosity made camp possible, the volunteers who gave countless hours of their time, and the community presenters who shared their passion and expertise with campers. Together, they helped create an unforgettable summer filled with learning, laughter and lasting memories.
